In the 80s, the Chinese heavy-duty truck industry made a quantum leap with the introduction of advanced technology from the Austrian company Steyr. CROSSRC SC6 Frequently Asked Questions
How do the SC6 KIT and RTR packages differ?
The KIT lists the frame, unpainted shell and motor, requiring assembly, painting and additional electronics. The SC6 RTR is listed as already assembled and painted, with transmitter and receiver included. Battery and charger inclusion depends on the separate Battery+Chargers choice.
What else is needed to complete an SC6 KIT?
Supply a compatible ESC, steering and shift servos, transmitter and receiver, plus assembly and finishing supplies. The listing states that a motor and lighting kit are included. Arrange a compatible battery and charger unless Included is selected under Battery+Chargers. Do not assume electronics from another CROSSRC model are supplied with this kit.
What size is the SC6, and is 10 kg its vehicle weight?
The model is listed as 650 × 228 × 262 mm, with axle spacings of 308 mm and 126 mm and a 189 mm track width. It is a 1/12-scale 6x6 / 6WD truck. The 10 kg figure is package weight, and 82 × 38 × 32 cm describes the packaging, not the assembled vehicle.
What battery fits the SC6?
The original battery-compartment entry reads 153 × 55 × 33 CM, which conflicts with the stated overall vehicle dimensions. Its unit has not been confirmed, so do not use that entry as a reliable fit specification. Confirm usable compartment dimensions, pack size, connector and cable clearance before purchase. The optional pack is listed as XT60 11.1 V 50C 3S 5200 mAh; verify the complete installed electronics' voltage limits before connecting it.
Are the battery, charger and rear tent included with every SC6?
No. Battery and charger are supplied only when Included is selected under Battery+Chargers. The listed charger is a SKYRC MAX B6AC 80 W balance charger. The linked SC6 rear cabin tent modification kit is described as an optional accessory, not a standard inclusion with the truck.
What suspension and opening body features are listed?
The SC6 lists adjustable leaf-spring suspension and a teeter-tandem rear-axle arrangement. Its molded ABS front includes opening doors, a tilting hood, interior detail and an engine-compartment representation. The cargo bed is described as removable for customization. These features do not establish a tested payload or towing capacity.
