CROSSRC EMO X7 & XL4: 1/8-Scale Trail Trucks, Two Drive Layouts

Choose the X7 Big Bad Wolf for a four-wheel-drive crawler or the XL4 Big Bad Bear for a three-axle, six-wheel-drive truck. Both combine a low-center-of-gravity chassis, a painted scale body, remote differential locks and a two-speed transmission for trail driving and obstacle work.

The next choice is how much of the electronics installation you want to do yourself: ARTR provides a rolling chassis for a custom build, while Brushless includes the listed drive and radio equipment.

Key Features

Selectable gearing and differential locks

The two-speed transmission gives you a lower ratio for slower obstacle work and a higher ratio for trail sections. Front and rear differential-lock functions are remotely operated. Follow the supplied instructions for shifting, locking and servo setup.

Low-center-of-gravity chassis

The chassis places emphasis on crawling and trail use. Choose routes to suit the truck's size and your setup; stability and grip still depend on the surface, load and driving technique.

Painted body, two color choices

The existing finish descriptions are Metallic Silver and Prism Blue-Black, shown in the options as Silver and Blue. Both equipment packages list a pre-painted body. The body is described as suitable for custom lighting setups; that does not establish that a lighting kit is supplied.

Version Selection

Brushless: supplied drive and radio equipment

The Brushless package lists an assembled truck with installed brushless motor and ESC, steering and shift servos, and a 2.4 GHz transmitter and receiver. The exact motor KV, ESC model and voltage limits are not specified here; confirm the selected equipment before choosing a battery or planning upgrades.

ARTR: supply the main drive and radio equipment

The ARTR package lists a preassembled chassis, painted body and preinstalled steering and shift servos. Motor, ESC and radio equipment are excluded. Choose compatible components and complete the installation and setup before driving.

Battery and Charger Options

Choose Included under Battery+Chargers for one XT60 11.1 V 50C 3S 5200 mAh LiPo battery and one SKYRC MAX B6AC 80 W balance charger. Choose Not included if you already have a compatible battery and charger. This choice applies to both ARTR and Brushless packages; it does not add the motor, ESC or radio equipment missing from ARTR.

The RTR transmitter takes four AA batteries, sold separately. Check the installed power system and battery fit before using a different pack.

What is the difference between X7 and XL4?

X7 is the 1/8-scale 4x4 Big Bad Wolf; XL4 is the 1/8-scale 6x6 Big Bad Bear with three driven axles. Both offer ARTR and Brushless packages.

Is ARTR ready to drive?

No. Its chassis and painted body are supplied with steering and shift servos listed as preinstalled, but the motor, ESC and radio equipment are excluded. Complete your electronics installation and setup before use.
