At 985 mm long, the CC8 is a substantial military-style truck project for builders who want more than a compact trail vehicle. Battery, Charger and Electronics Planning

The listed optional bundle contains a GREPOW / GENS ACE Redrock G-Tech 5200 mAh 50C 11.1 V 3S LiPo battery with voltage display and an iMars S100 100 W smart balance charger/discharger. Battery and charger are included only when the Included option is selected.

The supplied information recommends 3S, but a custom build still requires checking the voltage limits of the motor, ESC, steering-servo power supply and lights. Confirm pack dimensions, connector and wiring clearance against the listed 152 × 53 × 33 mm battery space before connecting a battery.

For KIT builds, the reference calls for two HV steering servos with at least 30 kg torque, one midi shift servo, a compatible brushed ESC for the supplied motor and a radio with six channels or more. A UBEC is recommended for the steering servos, not listed here as a confirmed included component. A brushless conversion requires a suitable motor and matching controller selected separately.

Prepare for Assembly and Painting

• Work in a well-ventilated area and use suitable protective equipment for painting and gluing.
• Use threadlocker where the manual specifies it and keep it away from ABS parts to avoid brittleness and cracking.
• Follow the wiring diagram in the manual supplied with your kit. Test the power system with the wheels off the ground.
• Prepare model-building tools, glue, grease and paint, and observe tool safety.

Does CC8 RTR mean assembled and painted?
