FAQ
RTF (Ready to Fly) helicopters include everything you need — transmitter, battery, and charger — and are ready to fly out of the box. PNP (Plug and Play) versions include the helicopter only, requiring you to supply your own transmitter, receiver, and battery. PNP is ideal for experienced pilots who already have compatible equipment.
Yes! Models like the FLYWING series and YUXIANG GPS helicopters feature auto-hover, altitude hold, and optical flow positioning — making them much easier to fly than traditional collective pitch helicopters. We recommend starting with a GPS-stabilized model before moving to 6-channel 3D aerobatics.
A 6-channel collective pitch helicopter offers full control over pitch, roll, yaw, throttle, and collective pitch angle — enabling advanced 3D aerobatics like inverted flight, flips, and rolls. Models like the GOOSKY S2 Max are designed for experienced pilots who want full aerobatic capability.
ROBAN helicopters are available in 450 and 470 class sizes, representing approximately 1:8 to 1:6 scale replicas of real military and civilian helicopters. Models include the UH-1D Huey, Bell-206, BO-105, EC135, AH-1 Cobra, Airwolf, and CAIC Z-10.
In the US, RC helicopters over 250g must be registered with the FAA. Most hobby-grade GPS helicopters in our collection exceed 250g, so FAA registration is required. Registration is simple and costs $5 at faadronezone.faa.gov.
